Amazing stuff built using the FLARtoolkit, a Flash AS3 version of the ARToolkit, now supported by the HITlab at the University of Washington.

  1. They should take that marker-on-body idea a bit further and develop it into a biology lesson autopsy kind of thing where you can see into the body. That would be creepy but cool :)

  2. This is very cool, it’s like motion tracking in visual effects. the thing that impresses me is it’s speed of tracking. I know it’s a big jumpy, but whenever I track footage in post-production it’s at least half the frame rate, on a simple track.

i seen this a little while back, mini were doing it,, you could print out a sheet of paper and it’d work similar. I never tried it actually. but maybe i will! :)

I’m sure this sorta stuff will be everywhere in a few years.
