I’m starting to think more about design leadership and management, which I hope will motivate me to add a new topic to this blog. So while you can continue to expect to read here about Adobe AIR, Thermo, the designer-developer workflow, graphic and visual design, usability, and generally cool and innovative designerly stuff, I plan to also write about design and management practices.
To kick this all off, here’s a (PDF) manifesto from Lucy Kimball’s MBA elective in Design Leadership at Said Business School, University of Oxford. The short version:
I’m not trying to turn you into designers…but I do want you to become a bit more designerly.
Psst, designers, check it out. Hopefully this new generation of B-school educated Product Managers will “get it” more than the old-guard currently in power today. Just make sure that you can speak their language as well as they speak yours (and without losing your soul too, you know). Balind from Red Interactive (of UFC fame) has some advice about this here.

thanks for the plug, m’man.
