Ethan Eismann is an Experience Design Manager at Adobe Systems. His team focuses on making it easier for professional designers to create interactive experiences, and improving the workflows between designers and developers throughout all phases of software development. Ethan also manages a team of designers who are focused on Adobe's emerging online services business, including Photoshop.com.
In the recent past, Ethan was the Sr. Experience Design Lead of Adobe Catalyst, a new professional design tool. With Catalyst, he crafted a product vision that makes it easy for designers to prototype rich interactive experiences that can be taken to code.
Before that, Ethan worked closely with the Adobe AIR team to develop best design practices for the emerging Adobe AIR platform. He has designed experiences for mobile devices, RIAs, and desktop applications such as Creative Suite 4, and Adobe Acrobat.
Prior to Adobe, Ethan worked at a number of start-ups, and attended the UC Berkeley School of Information Management and Systems where he collaborated with a wide range of students designing and building physical and screen-based interfaces.
In his spare time, Ethan surfs off the coast of San Francisco, bikes in the Oakland hills, and infuriates his usually patient girlfriend with constant landscaping projects when he should instead focus on completing renovations to the house.
